CAMACA (Cammake, Camoca, Camak)
A fabric of the 15th and 16th century, made of silk and used for hangings, curtains, church vestments, etc. Camel-hair yarn was also used. ————————
CAMMAKA (Camaca, Camak)
A fine cloth, used in the 14th century for royal and ecclesiastical garments. Believed to be of camel's hair and silk. Also used as bed hangings. The royal chapel at Windsor in 1385 had several vestments and altar cloths of white camoca.
